Don Criqui took his place as Notre Dame’s play-by-play announcer in 2006.

Roberts, who came from Chicago, Illinois, earned a journalism degree from Columbia College. He started out his career working for radio stations in Washington, Indiana, and Iowa. In addition, he has experience covering the NBA, MLB, NFL, golf, and Olympic Games. 2016 saw Roberts’ induction into the National Radio Hall of Fame.
