Mitchell Boggs, an American former professional baseball pitcher is the son of long-serving Concordia University Texas head baseball coach and former Major League Baseball player, Tommy Boggs.

Born on February 15, 1984, Mitchell attended Dalton High School after which he signed a baseball scholarship at the University of Georgia.
However, after one season at Georgia in which he saw limited playing time, he transferred to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he was a walk-on quarterback for the Mocs’ football team.

But after only one semester at UTC, he transferred back to UGA and helped the Bulldogs reach the 2004 College World Series.
Mitchell began his professional career at the St. Louis Cardinals and since then, he has gone on to feature for;
- Colorado Rockies
- Chicago White Sox
- San Francisco Giants
- Boston Red Sox
- Atlanta Braves
Sadly, Mitchell has lost his dad.
His dad died on October 5, 2022 from cancer.
Mitchell’s dad played in Major League Baseball as a right-handed pitcher for the Texas Rangers (1976–1977, 1985) and the Atlanta Braves (1978–1983).
