Tom O’Lincoln was born on August 27, 1947, and he lived for 76 years before dying on October 12, 2023.
After his birth, O’Lincoln developed and began to carve out a name for himself as an American Marxist historian and author.

He continued to be well-known for being one of the Australian affiliates of the International Socialist Tendency. In 1966, O’Lincoln attended UC Berkeley for his official studies. He soon joined the International Socialists, a group that had taken part in the Free Speech Movement two years prior.

He was an editor for the online publication Marxist Interventions and a member of the Trotskyist group Socialist Alternative and its political alliance partner Victorian Socialists. At the age of 76, O’Lincoln passed away on October 12, 2023.
