Their son, Tag Bertuzzi, was invited by The Montreal Canadiens to their rookie camp in 2021.
However, Tag Bertuzzi was unable to play any games in the 2020-21 season due to the OHL suspending and eventually cancelling their season.
Tag Bertuzzi spent some time in Slovakia on loan from Hamilton (OHL). In 57 games with the Hamilton Bulldogs, he had 25 goals and 47 points.
His goal total that season was good enough for second on the team, trailing only L.A. Kings prospect Arthur Kaliyev.

Todd Bertuzzi played for the New York Islanders, Vancouver Canucks, Florida Panthers, Anaheim Ducks, Calgary Flames, and Detroit Red Wings during his NHL career.
He was drafted 23rd overall by the New York Islanders in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft and spent four seasons with the Guelph Storm of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).
Todd Bertuzzi represented Team Canada at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, as well as the 1998 and 2000 World Championships.
