The renowned playwright Tina Howe passed away on Monday, August 24, at the age of 85.

The talented author, a two-time nominee for the Pulitzer Prize, is known for writing well-liked works including Painting Churches and Coastal Disturbances, the latter of which led to a 1987 Tony Award nomination for Best Play.
She passed away, as confirmed by her agent Patrick Herold, who also provided details on what caused her demise.

Two children, three grandchildren, and a large body of creative work are all that remain of Tina, who leaves behind a rich artistic legacy. When she unveiled her final collection, Where Women Go, she had been releasing new works all year.
