Tim Westwood Documentary BBC3: Abuse Of Power Airs On BBC

Westwood was a pioneer of hip-hop in the United Kingdom. The DJ rose to national fame while working for Kiss FM and Capital FM before joining BBC Radio 1’s rap show in 1994.

Westwood hosted the UK version of Pimp My Ride, which aired on MTV from 2005 to 2007. He left BBC Radio One in 2013 after 20 years and joined Capital FM Radio.

Multiple women have accused DJ Tim Westwood of sexual misconduct, alleging that he abused his power in the music industry.

The former BBC Radio One and MTV presenter have been accused of predatory and unwanted sexual behaviour toward seven Black women, according to a BBC and Guardian investigation. Tim Westwood has denied all the allegations.

This isn’t the first time Westwood has been accused of something. Accusations about his behaviour with young Black women surfaced on social media in 2020. He called the allegations “fabricated allegations” in a statement to the Daily Mail.
