Thuy Trang was a well-known Vietnamese actress. She was best remembered for her role as Trini Kwan, the first Yellow Ranger on the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers group.

Trang’s father was a South Vietnamese army officer who fled the nation after the fall of Saigon in 1975, leaving behind his family.
Thuy Trang was born on December 14, 1973, in Saigon, South Vietnam, now Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to father Ky Trang and mother Be Trang.
She was the youngest of three siblings. Her father, an officer in the South Vietnamese army (ARVN), was tasked with defending Saigon from the communist North Vietnamese army.

Thuy Trang died in a car accident on September 3, 2001. Thuy is survived by her husband and 2 daughters.
