Silva, who joined Chelsea in 2020, displayed visible emotion following the defeat, adding to the Blues’ disappointments at Wembley.

With his contract due to expire this summer, the Brazilian indicates that a decision about his future is on the horizon.

“I do have a decision made in my mind, but it’s not the moment to share it,” Silva said. “Sooner or later, the news will come out.”

“I don’t want to say anything now after a defeat. I’m sad about the result,” Silva added.

Looking back on his journey with Chelsea, Silva acknowledges the valuable experience gained but acknowledges the difficulties of competing at the highest level given his age.

On social media, Silva’s wife has hinted at the veteran defender’s departure from Chelsea, describing the FA Cup defeat as his “last dance.”

As the season draws to a close, the future of the 39-year-old, who has had a distinguished career at clubs like AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain, remains uncertain at Chelsea.
