Who Is Theo Pinson?

Theophilus Pinson is a pro basketball player who plays as a shooting guard and small forward for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Born on November 5, 1995, in Greensboro, North Carolina, Pinson had his high school basketball career at Wesleyan Christian Academy, where he was a McDonald’s All-American.

In 2011, he played in the USA Basketball U16 team, winning the gold medal before committing to play college football at North Carolina.

Pinson joined the Brooklyn Nets in 2018 as an undrafted agent and played with them for two seasons.

While he was with the Nets, he appeared in 5 summer league games, recording 11.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game.

Afterwards, Pinson played for the Long Island Nets, the New York Knicks, Maine Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, and the Texas Legends.

In 2021, he signed a minor contract with the Mavericks, and later, a two-way contract. However, in 2022, Pinson signed another one-year contract with the Mavericks.
