Who Is Theo Maledon?

Théo Maledon is a professional basketball player who currently plays as a point guard for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA), and the Greensboro Swarm of the NBA G League.

Maledon’s journey to the NBA, however, wasn’t a direct one. He entered the league on a two-way contract with the Greensboro Swarm of the NBA G League.

Maledon’s NBA journey began in the 2020 NBA Draft when he was selected as 34th overall pick by the Philadelphia 76ers.

However, he was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the same year.

Since 2017, Maledon’s career has seen him don the jerseys of ASVEL, the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Oklahoma City Blue, the Charlotte Hornets, and the Greensboro Swarm.

In 2022, Maledon signed a two-way contract with the Charlotte Hornets. In 2023, he re-signed with the Hornets on another two-way contract.

Beyond the NBA, Maledon has also made significant contributions to international basketball.
