Manilal Permchand Chandaria is a Kenyan businessman in Indian but born in Nairobi on March 1, 1929. He is considered the richest man in Kenya.

Chandaria attended various primary schools in Kenya where he later moved to India to have his undergraduate studies. He graduated with a BSC in engineering and proceeded to have his masters at the University of Oklahoma.

After Chandaria’s graduation, he moved to Kenya where his family had amassed some lucrative steel and aluminium industry. They had organised a group of 10 individuals to acquire saucepan manufacturer Kenya Aluminum. The group later broke up to pursue different businesses.

Chandaria continued the business and he now the Senior member of Comcraft Group.
