The Gray Man Story: Is The Gray Man Based On A True Story?

The Gray Man is a real-life story based on the life of an American serial killer, and human flesh-eater, Albert Fish.

The 2007 biographical thriller, starred Belgian actor Patrick Bauchau as Albert Fish.

The story opens with young Albert Fish living with other children at St. John’s Orphanage.

The adult Albert Fish (Patrick Bauchau) begins to tell his story of how he was set up in a conspiracy by some older boys while at the orphanage.

At this time, he had killed a boy scout, Francis McDonnell, and a ten-year-old girl, Grace Budd on June 3, 1928.

The search for Grace Budd lingered for six years before Fish could be caught and arrested.

Despite faking a mental illness, Fish was sentenced to death by electrocution.
