A van crash in the filming location killed two actors from the new show The Chosen One. Six members of the Netflix crew were also hurt when a van collided and flipped near the location.

The Baja California Department of Culture confirmed that two people died: Raymundo Garduno Cruz and Juan Francisco Gonzalez Aguilar.
The unfortunate incident occurred on a desert road near Mulegé in the Baja California Sur peninsula on Thursday, June 16 2022 according to local media, while the crew was filming in nearby Santa Rosalia. No further details are available at this time.

The Chosen One is a series about a 12-year-old kid who discovers he is the resurrected Jesus Christ, sent to save humanity. The film is based on Mark Millar and Peter Gross’s comic book series.
The series is being filmed by an unidentified independent production company. Officials had no information on whether production will be affected by the accident.
