Musician Amerado expressed satisfaction with the revisions made by the Telecel Music Awards board to the nominations list after a review of the initially announced list in March 2024. This review was prompted by concerns about errors or omissions in the list, leading to a comprehensive evaluation process.

Following the review, Amerado gained a nomination in the Most Popular Song of the Year category with his song ‘Kwaku Ananse.’ Additionally, the remix version of Kwaku Ananse was replaced with the original in the Best Highlife Song category.

Reacting to the new changes, Amerado said that it is good to see his song receive the recognition it deserves in one of the award scheme’s major categories. “I was pleased.” When asked if he had any other challenges, Amerado said that he wanted to be recognized in the Songwriter of the Year category.
“I thought it should have made the cut, but then it’s fine…I’ll just keep working harder,” he told Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM on Tuesday.
