Texas School Shooting Cops Waited: Why Did The Police Wait?

Following the case of the Texas school shooting, there are no obvious reasons for the delay of arrival of the Police.

However, a law enforcement official stated that when they arrived the school, the police officers had trouble gaining entrance through a classroom door. They had to get a staff member to open the door with a key.

Ramos Salvador, 18, had invaded Robb Elementary School at about 11:28 a.m, after crashing his Ford pickup into a ditch behind the school.

With an AR-15-style rifle, Ramos, killed 19 children and 2 teachers.

On the arrival of the police, Ramon was shot dead and other dangerous weapons were recovered from him.

Reports reveal that Ramon had earlier killed his grandmother on the same day, before carrying out the shooting.

The incident has triggered anger from the public, particularly in the area of delayed response from the police.

“They say they rushed in, but we didn’t see that”, a mother whose fourth-grade daughter was killed lamented.

Reports say that the first set of  officers did not arrive at the school until 12 minutes after the invasion and upon arrival, could not get in until 4 minutes later.

The situation was  salvaged after a group of Border Patrol tactical officers entered the school about an hour later, and engaged the criminal in a gun battle, killing him on the spot.

At that time, backup officers  had arrived with tactical teams moving students and teachers out of the premises.
