Terry Moore started out as a child actor, appearing in various films and television shows, including the popular TV series “The Howdy Doody Show.”
Moore’s career took a step forward after Columbia Pictures signed her to a long-term contract. She co-starred with Glenn Ford in The Return of October (1948), playing a character named Terry Ramsey, which became her stage name.

She continued to work in films throughout the 1950s, appearing in a number of well-known movies, including “Come Back, Little Sheba” (1952) and “Peyton Place” (1957).
