Ann is mostly known for being the wife of Terry Holland. Former basketball player and coach Michael Terrence Holland, who worked in sports administration, passed away on February 26, 2023. He was born on April 2, 1942.

Holland had a prosperous career as a collegiate basketball coach, serving as the men’s basketball head coach at Davidson College from 1969 to 1974 and at the University of Virginia from 1974 to 1990.
His teams achieved a number of significant milestones during his coaching career, and he had a great 418-216 record. Before his coaching career came to an end, Holland worked as the athletic director at Davidson College in Virginia and East Carolina.

Davidson College awarded Holland a Bachelor of Arts in economics in 1964. When a student at Davidson, Holland played basketball for three years under the guidance of the late Lefty Driesell.
He led the nation in field goal percentage (63.1%) and captained the first-ever Wildcat basketball team to be ranked at the national level during his senior year, 1963-1964.
