Terry Hall Cause of Death

Terry Hall, lead singer of The Specials, an English 2 tone and ska revival band, passed away on 19 December 2022.

The news of Hall’s death was shared on the band’s verified social media accounts, which stated on Facebook that he died “after a brief illness.”

The post referred to Hall as “our beautiful friend, brother, and one of the most brilliant singers, songwriters, and lyricists this country has ever produced,” adding that “his music and his performances encapsulated the very essence of life… the joy, the pain, the humour, the fight for justice, but most importantly, the love.”

“He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him and leaves behind the gift of his remarkable music and profound humanity. Terry often left the stage at the end of the Specials’ life-affirming shows with three words… ‘Love Love Love.’”

Hall, who was 63 at the time of his death, is survived by his wife Lindy Heymann, a filmmaker, and their children Leo and Felix Hall.

Hall also formed bands Fun Boy Three in 1981 and The Colourfield in 1984 – known for the hit song “Thinking of You” – before going solo with a pair of albums in the ’90s.
