Terrence Howard Second Wife: Who is Michelle Ghent?

American actor and musician Terrence Howard married his second wife Michelle Ghent in 2010.

In February 2011, Ghent filed for divorce. In December 2011, Ghent filed a restraining order against Howard, accusing him of physical abuse.

According to the settlement agreement between the former couple, Ghent would receive $5,800 per month in spousal support plus a percentage of Howard’s future earnings.

Howard agreed to the terms of the settlement agreement initially However, Howard recently petitioned a California court to set aside the agreement. During a four-day hearing on the issue, Howard and his attorney presented evidence to the court proving that he was coerced into signing the marital settlement agreement.

Howard specifically claimed that he only agreed to the terms of the agreement because Ghent threatened to publicly release embarrassing videos of Howard as well as potentially damaging details about Howard’s sex life if he did not.

After hearing the evidence, Judge Thomas Trent Lewis concluded that Howard did not sign the agreement voluntarily, but rather under duress. The agreement was set aside and nullified by the court because it was found to have been executed under duress. In May 2013, their divorce was finalised.
