David William Duchovny is an American actor, writer, producer, director, and singer-songwriter who is the ex-husband of Téa Leoni an actress from the United States.

The former couple got married on May 13 1997 after only dating for eight weeks. Leoni’s marriage to actor David Duchovny was the source of much tabloid attention.
They had a daughter named Madelaine in April 1999 and a son named Kyd in June 2002. Duchovny sought treatment for sex addiction at a rehabilitation centre in August 2008, and it was announced in October that David and Téa had been separated for several months.
The couple later reconciled, but they divorced in June 2014, with Duchovny reportedly agreeing to pay $40,000 per month in spousal support and $8,000 per month in child support.

David Duchovny is best known for his roles as FBI agent Fox Mulder on The X-Files (1993-2002, 2016-2018) and as writer Hank Moody on Californication (2007-2014), both of which earned him Golden Globe nominations.
David Duchovny appeared in both X-Files films, including the 1998 science fiction thriller The X-Files and the 2008 supernatural thriller The X-Files: I Want to Believe. He was an executive producer and star in the historical cop drama Aquarius (2015-2016).
