Tama Tonga Parents: Meet Haku, Dorothy Koloamatangi

Tama Tonga has carved a remarkable path in the world of professional wrestling, captivating audiences with his electrifying performances in the ring.

However, behind the persona lies a deeply personal story of familial bonds and resilience.

Born into a Tongan-American family, Leone’s life took a significant turn when he and his younger brother Taula were adopted by their maternal aunt and her husband, the legendary professional wrestler Tonga Fifita, renowned by his ring name Haku or Meng.

This pivotal moment occurred in 1991 when Fifita and his wife Dorothy Koloamatangi, affectionately known as Auntie Dee, welcomed Leone and his brother into their family during a visit to their native island of Tonga.

The brothers were then brought to Poinciana, Florida, where they grew up alongside their biological cousin and adoptive brother, Tevita, and their older sister Vika.

Leone’s upbringing in Poinciana laid the foundation for his journey into adulthood and his eventual career in professional wrestling.

Following his graduation from Poinciana High School, he embarked on a different path by joining the United States Air Force.

Stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base for six years, Leone served as a B-2 Spirit mechanic, showcasing his dedication and commitment to serving his country.

Meanwhile, his brother Tevita pursued his passion for football, playing college football with the UTEP Miners.

However, destiny had other plans for the Leone brothers. In 2004, during a fateful phone call, Alipate and Tevita made a life-altering decision – they resolved to pursue careers in professional wrestling once their respective obligations concluded three years later.

This pivotal moment marked the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, one that would see them follow in the footsteps of their adoptive father and make a name for themselves in the world of sports entertainment.
