David is the first husband of actress Talia Shire.

The duo were married in 1970 and got divorced in 1980.

David is known for producing the soundtracks to the 1976 film The Big Bus, The Taking of Pelham One Two Three, The Conversation and All the President’s Men.

He also scored the movies Return to Oz, Closer Than Ever, and Starting Here, Starting Now.

David and Talia have a son together named Matthew Shire. After their divorce, David went ahead to marry Didi Conn and had another son.

Who Is Talia Shire?

Talia Shire is an American actress most famous for appearing in The Godfather films and also in the Rocky series.

Shire was born on April 25, 1946, in Lake Success, New York as the only daughter of her parents.

Shire played Connie Corleone in The Godfather and its sequels, and appeared as Adrian Pennino, in Rocky (1976). She has also repeated her role as Adrian in four Rocky sequels.

Other films in which she starred include The Outside Man, The Whole Shebang, Palo Alto, Dreamland, Maxie, The Wild Racers, Kiss the Bride (2002), I Heart Huckabees (2004), and Homo Erectus (2007).

Shire has won a number of awards and accolades for her role in many films she appeared. Some of them include the Academy Awards, the Golden Globe Award, the Critics Circle Award, and the National Board of Review Award.
