Willie McLaughlin is the father of Sydney McLaughlin. She was born in February 1963. He is a former professional athlete who competed for the USA Team. He is most famous for running 400 meters in the 1984 Olympics Trials.

In Manhattan College, Willie was a track superstar and won several titles. His outstanding performance saw him inducted into the Manhattan College Athletic Hall of Fame in 1997

Mary McLaughlin is the mother of Sydney McLaughlin. She grew up in Tonawanda, in New York, and attended Cardinal O’Hara High School. With no girl’s team, she competed in the boy’s team and ran against boys from other schools in the 400m and 800m competitions.
