Sven-Bertil Taube Obituary, Funeral

Sven-Bertil Gunnar Evert Taube was a Swedish singer, actor and son of songwriter Evert Taube and sculptor Astri Taube.

Taube is an alumnus of the Cherry Lawn School in Darien, Connecticut, graduating in 1954.

He began playing guitar at age 14 and released his first album years later in 1954. The album included a cover of one of his father’s songs.

Taube has released several albums since the release of his maiden one.

Taube has been married three times, and has four children.

He belongs to an untitled branch of the Baltic German noble Taube family, introduced at the Swedish House of Nobility in 1668 as noble family No. 734.

Taube was born on 24 November 1934 and died on 11 November 2022 at age 87, a few days to his 88th birthday.

Details regarding his funeral will be made public by his family in due course.

He is survived by his wife Mikaela Ryden and children: Sascha Zacharias, Jesper Taube, Felix Taube and Ann-Charlotte Taube.
