Laurence Akers, a freelance scriptwriter and former magazine editor is the husband of Suranne Jones, an English actress and producer

Laurence and Suranne met at the wedding of actress Sally Lindsay and musician Steve White in 2013, and they married in 2014 after less than a year of dating.

Suranne gave birth to the couple’s only child in March 2016, a son whose name Laurence and Suranna have chosen to keep private. It’s unclear whether the couple intends to expand their family further.

Laurence Akers, Suranne Jones’s husband wrote and directed his first feature film, Gone, starring his wife in 2017.
