Graham, born Eldridge Wayne Coleman, tried out for the Canadian Football League prior to his illustrious wrestling career but rose to prominence through an amazing bodybuilding career.

Graham began his wrestling career in 1969, signing with numerous firms until making his WWE debut in 1975, then known as the World Wide Wrestling Federation.

His in-arena style had already influenced several of the most popular wrestlers of the time, like Austin Idol, Jesse Ventura, Hulk Hogan, and Ric Flair.

When wrestling became popular in the 1980s and 1990s, wrestlers like Steve Austin and Triple H began to emulate his appearance and demeanor.

During his WWE career, he won the WWWF World Heavyweight Title once, in 1977.

Graham was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004, along with Ventura and Sgt. Slaughter.
