Stipe Miocic is an American professional mixed martial artist who currently competes in the Heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he is a former two-time UFC Heavyweight Champion.

Stipe Miocic was born and raised in Euclid, Ohio. He is the son of Croatian immigrants Kathy and Bojan Miocic.
His father is from Rtina, and his mother is from Cetingrad in Croatia. When he was a child, his parents divorced, and he continued to live with his mother, initially with his grandparents, and later with his stepfather and younger half-brother Jonathan.
His mother had always encouraged him to participate in sports since he was a child. Miocic attended Eastlake North High School and participated in baseball, American football, and wrestling.

During his collegiate years at Cleveland State University and Trevecca Nazarene University, he received interest from Major League Baseball teams. In his junior year of college, he also played Division II baseball at Coker College.
Stipe Miocic shared in 2022 that his father Bojan Miocic passed away. In a lengthy message on Instagram, he shared tender words about his father, who was a clear support in his life.
