Weather presenter Steve Pool died on November 22, 2023, at age 70.

Tributes have poured in from across the globe in honour of the late meteorologist.
“We are so blessed to have had him in our lives. He was an extraordinary man, husband, father and good friend to many. Please know that he truly loved his job and this community and felt so privileged to be a part of your lives. You were all so good to him and thereby good to us. Our hearts are irretrievably broken,” Pool’s wife, Michelle had siad via a post.
Pool is survived by his wife, Michelle and their two daughters, Lindsey and Marissa.
His legacy lives on through the memories he created on-screen, his literary contributions, and the lives he touched throughout his remarkable career.

A recipient of eight Emmy Awards, Pool’s contributions extended beyond local screens; he made over 70 appearances on Good Morning America, solidifying his status as a respected figure in the field.
Beyond the screen, Pool shared his knowledge in the written word, authoring the insightful book “Somewhere, I Was Right,” a testament to his commitment to educating and entertaining.
In 2004, the University of Washington Department of Communications recognized Pool’s impact by inducting him into their Hall of Fame, celebrating his distinguished career.
However, in November 2019, Pool announced his retirement after successfully battling prostate cancer, closing a chapter on an illustrious broadcasting journey.
