Pooling his talents at KOMO-TV in Seattle, Pool initially covered sports in 1977 before ascending to the role of principal weather anchor—a position he held from 1984 to 2019.

In the 1980s, he expanded his repertoire, hosting the program “Front Runners” every Saturday on KOMO-TV. The 1990s saw him as the host of the children’s Direct-to-video series, “Little Steps.”
