State Rep. Quentin Williams was a Connecticut state lawmaker who was killed in a wrong-way crash involving two vehicles. Quentin “Q” Williams died at age 39.

The Connecticut state lawmaker was one of the two drivers killed in the fiery two-car crash which occured at 12:48 a.m. Thursday on Route 9 in Cromwell.
According to State Police, Williams’ car was traveling in the left lane on the southbound side of Route 9 near exit 18 when a vehicle going north struck his car head on, leading to Williams’ car bursting into flames.

Williams, 39, had attended the governor’s inaugural ball in Hartford and was returning home when he got invloved in the ghastly accident.
Williams had taken oath of office for his third term ( on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023) the first day of the General Assembly session.
Williams was the first African American to represent the City of Middletown in the Connecticut General Assembly.
Prior to that, he served as city treasurer in 2011 and was re-elected in 2015.
He was also part of the planning and zoning commission in 2007, and in 2009, he was unanimously elected chair of the commission.
Williams is survived by his wife Carrissa and his mother.
