Early in his career, the Brooklyn native produced the pilot for the acclaimed NBC series Fame, earning an Emmy nomination for outstanding drama series in 1982 alongside William Blinn and two others. His contributions extended to executive producing the Discovery Kids sitcom Darcy’s Wild Life (2004-06) and co-creating the adventure series Flight 29 Down (2005-07) for the same network.

Collaborating with John Sayles, Rogow produced The Clan of the Cave Bear (1986) starring Daryl Hannah. The duo later joined forces to create the NBC drama Shannon’s Deal (1990), featuring Jamey Sheridan as a struggling lawyer with a gambling problem.
