Ghana’s media has experienced a massive shakeup this week as two musicians and one comedian-musician have been remanded in prison. Funny Face, Shatta Wale and Medikal have all been sent to court for going against the laws of the state.

One of Ghana’s greatest comedians, Funny Face, was arrested on October 18, after he sent threat messages to his baby mama and others. Funny Face has been sent to the health centre for a mental and psychological check-up.

On October 18, 2021, it was reported that self-acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale, has been shot by unknown gunmen and is hospitalised. As the rumours spread and fear gripped the fans of Shatta Wale, it was later found out that it was all lies.

Shatta Wale came online the next day to debunk the rumours of his shooting and revealed that he created the scene himself. With the police on alert, when they heard the shooting incident of Shatta Wale, they launch a search in the various hospital in Accra and found out that it was all lies.
The Police then arrested Shatta Wale and his two accomplices and they have been transferred to the Ankaful Prisons. The pastor who predicted the shooting of Shatta Wale has also been arrested.

Ghanaian rapper and hip-hop singer, Medikal, has been remanded in prison for brandishing a gun. The AMG member was arrested at his house on the evening of October 21 and has been remanded at the Ankaful Prisons in the Central Region.
