According to authorities, Oregon Ducks tight end Spencer Webb died on Wednesday, July 13 2022 after falling and suffering a head injury while visiting western Oregon’s Triangle Lake.

After releasing details about the incident on Wednesday evening, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Webb’s identity on Thursday, July 14 2022.
According to the Lane County Sheriff’s office, “Bystanders and responding paramedics were unable to revive him.
Lane County Sheriff Search and Rescue personnel responded to assist with bringing him back to the roadway as he was approximately 100 yards down a steep trail,”

Authorities said there was no evidence of foul play and his death was accidental. Webb grew up in Sacramento and became a well-known tight end while attending Christian Brothers High School.
In a tweet shared Wednesday night, Oregon Ducks head football coach Dan Lanning paid tribute to Webb. So full of life in every moment of the day,” he wrote. “Your smile and energy will be missed, Spencer. I love you!”
