Sonya Eddy Cause of Death

American actress, Sonya Eddy has died. She died at the age of 55 on December 19, 2022.

According to reports, she died of a serious infection. Eddy’s producing partner and close friend, Tyler Ford, told the media that the actress had scheduled surgery on December 9, but it wasn’t an emergency.

She was later released from the hospital but started to feel sick again and went back to the hospital four days later. That’s when doctors reportedly discovered a serious infection had developed.

Eddy made her acting debut in Ruby Dee’s play, Zora Is My Name in 1990. Other stage credits included The Comedy of Errors, The Witch is Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Wood and others.

From 2016 to 2019, she played Tammy in the Tru TV comedy series, Those Who Can’t.
