Popular media personality, Somizi Mhlongo, has faced the backlash of social media uaers after buying an expensive dress from fashion icon Rich Mnisi.

He had mixed reactions from social media users after he flaunted photos of the dress he purchased from the designer. This has got much attention due to the price tags Rich Mnisi has given to his brand.
Recall he came out to announce the prices of his new collection which is now R60k in his brand. To help improve the productivity of his work, Somizi bought some collections from his brand.
Some people lambasted him for not using his money to support his own but rather, he bought it for social media influences. However, he replied that he is ready to support his own and not trash the needs of his people for clothes. Some other fans exprssed their disappointment in him because they felt he went against his resolution for the year about not buying expensive clothes.
