Solomone Kata, a professional dual-code rugby player from Tonga, was born on 3 December 1994. He plays as a wing for Leicester Tigers of the Gallagher Premiership and the Tonga national side.

Prior to playing rugby union, Kata played rugby league for the New Zealand Warriors, was a member of the NRL’s Melbourne Storm, and represented Tonga and New Zealand internationally.

In 2013, Kata made the switch to rugby league and joined the New Zealand Warriors. Kata was a member of the Warriors Holden Cup team, which fell to the Penrith Panthers in the grand final 30-42. Prior to competing in the under 20s division again, Kata participated in the 2014 Auckland Nines with the first grade team.
