Tongan professional rugby union player Solomone Funaki (born 25 April 1994) is presently a loose forward for Moana Pasifika in Super Rugby. Funaki represented Tonga’s U20 team and served as captain in Hong Kong for the 2014 IRB Junior World Rugby Trophy.

He participated in a World Series Rugby match between Western Force and Tonga A on May 13, 2018, in Perth. On July 3, 2021, Funaki played in his first Tonga test match against New Zealand in Auckland’s Mount Smart Stadium.

Sadly, he fractured his hand in that game and was unable to play in any of Tonga’s subsequent matches in July 2021. He was once more selected for the Tongan national squad for the 2022 Pacific Nations Cup on May 27, 2022.
