Executions in Singapore are carried out by hanging, and take place in Changi Prison, usually at dawn. The country has had capital punishment ever since it was the capital of the Straits Settlements and as a subsequent crown colony, and had become independent before the United Kingdom abolished capital punishments in its constituent countries.

In 2012, Singapore amended its laws to exempt some cases from the mandatory death sentence.

The most recent execution to be conducted in Singapore was on 27th April 2022, when a 34-year-old Malaysian Nagaenthran K Dharmalingama was executed for trafficking a total of 42.72 grams of diamorphine, despite the appeals by rights activists for clemency.
