Si Jiahui was ranked 80th in the world rankings and qualified for the main stage of the 2023 World Snooker Championship after defeating Florian Nüßle, Tom Ford, and Jordan Brown in the qualifying rounds.

Si Jiahui became the youngest player to reach the World Championship semi-finals since Ronnie O’Sullivan in 1996.
