Sheryl Sandberg is an American billionaire business executive and the Chief Operating Officer of social media platform, Facebook.

Sheryl was born on August 28, 1969, in Washington. She was raised in a Jewish family amongst her other siblings.
Sheryl attended Harvard University and has a summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in economics.
While at Harvard, Sheryl graduated tops in her class and went ahead and co-founded the Women in Economics and Government Association.
As a research assistant at the World Bank, Sheryl spareheaded a number of health projects in various countries, especially in India.
In 1993, she proceeded to acquire an MBA also from the prestigious Harvard Business School, and she graduated a distinction.

Sheryl Sandberg Resignation
Sheryl recently shocked the media world when she recently announced her resignation as Facebook’s Chief Operating Officer (COO).
She had been with the company for 14 years and functioned as a board member. She was the first woman to emerge as a board member in the company.
Before she joined Facebook, as she was vice president of global online sales and operations at Google.
Sheryl said the resignation is to enable her pay more attention to her philanthropic work.
