Martin Truex Jr. and Sherry Pollex have been together since 2005 and in 2007, they started the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation to support children with pediatric cancer.
The Martin Truex Jr. Foundation’s aim is to raise awareness, boost advocacy and generate financial support for underfunded cancer initiatives specific to ovarian and childhood cancers.
In 2014, Sherry Pollex was diagnosed with Stage III ovarian cancer.

After being diagnosed in 2014 with the stage 3c ovarian cancer, Sherry Pollex has undergone three major surgeries and over forty chemotherapy treatments. But through it all, she continues to give hope to other women battling this disease.
Aside her issue with ovarian cancer, Sherry Pollex is also known to be a businesswoman.
Sherry Pollex’s husband Martin Truex Jr. is an American professional stock car racing driver. who competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 19 Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing.
Martin Truex Jr. is the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion and a two-time Xfinity Series champion, having won two consecutive championships in 2004 and 2005.
