Shanquella Robinson, a 25-year-old woman passed away in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, while on vacation in October 2022.

Robinson’s travelling companions first claimed she died of alcohol intoxication, but an autopsy revealed she had “severe spinal cord injury and atlas luxation,” instability of the first two neck vertebrae, according to WSOC-TV. This led to the opening of a homicide investigation.
One of the friends Robinson travelled with is seen attacking Robinson in a video that has been shared online. Because of the graphic content, WCNC Charlotte has decided not to include the video.

Danny Griffin, a longtime family friend of the Robinsons, said Shanquella will be remembered as a kind soul and her daddy’s little girl.
According to ABC News, the Baja California Sur State Attorney General’s Office confirmed the postmortem findings on Thursday, November 17 2022, and said that “an inquiry was begun for femicide,” a hate crime in which women are slain because of their gender.
According to reports, Mexican authorities and the FBI were investigating the homicide. There had been no arrests.
