Street-hop singer Shallipopi has revealed the release date for his second album. Rising to prominence in 2022 with a string of chart-topping singles that melded his rap style with his Benin roots, Shallipopi has surprised fans with news of an upcoming single accompanying his sophomore effort.

Taking to social media, Shallipopi revealed the title of his upcoming single, “Shakespopi,” slated for release on April 12, 2024—coinciding with his birthday. He also announced that his second album will drop on the same date, which he’s dubbed “Pluto Day.”
“Though Shalli pens the lyrics, ’tis Shakespeare who makes ’em quake. Plutomanias, brace yourselves for ‘Shakespopi’—Birthday 12, Album 12, Pluto Day 12. Let the festivities commence on April 12,” the caption wrote.
This upcoming album arrives just six months after Shallipopi’s debut, “Presido La Pluto.” It marks his first release of 2024 and precedes a groundbreaking joint tour with rapper Odumodublvck.
