Nigerian singer Seun Kuti expressed his belief that monogamy is not effective and shared insights into his family history during an episode of the Bad and Boujee podcast with Tolani Baj and Moet Abebe.

When questioned about his views on monogamy, he argued that it is not a practical arrangement and suggested that powerful men should have the support of multiple goddesses bestowed upon them by their ancestors.

Seun then revealed surprising details about his grandfather, the iconic Fela Kuti. He disclosed that in addition to Fela’s 27 wives, he also had over 100 girlfriends, many of whom resided with the family in their home.
