Mexican actor, Sergio Calderón has been reported dead by his family. In an official statement they shared, they revealed that he died of natural causes on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at age 77.

He also played the role of a revolutionary at the turn of the 20th century in Duck, You Sucker! (1971). He starred as the murderous Mexican chief of police in Under the Volcano in 1984 by John Huston.

Calderón was also known by many fans of Men In Black (1997) as the ‘head on a stick’ held by an extraterrestrial ‘illegal alien’ attempting to sneak across the U.S.-Mexico border. He also appeared in Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World’s End as the Spanish pirate lord Capt. Villanueva.
Some of his film credits also include Les Chevre, The Revengers, Better Things, The Ruins, The Missing, The Children of Sanchez, Old Gringo, Little Fockers, and more.
Calderón was survived by his wife, Karen Dakin, children, Patrick Calderón-Dakin and Johanna Calderón-Dakin, and grandchildren; Krishnaavi, Emiliano, and Victoria.
