Sean Penn is an American actor, director, screenwriter and producer. He has won two Academy Awards for his roles in the mystery drama Mystic River and the biopic Milk.

Sean has been outspoken in supporting numerous political and social causes. In October 2020, Sean tweeted in support of Armenia in regards to the Nagorno-Karabakh war between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Sean Penn’s recent political view was on the Russian Ukraine war. Penn spent time in Ukraine filming a documentary about the ongoing 2022 Russian invasion of the country. Penn attended press briefings in Kyiv, met with officials and spoke to journalists and military personnel about the Russian invasion.
On February 25, 2022, Penn stated, “if we allow it (Ukraine) to fight alone, our soul as America is lost. He also praised the response from the Ukrainian government and its citizens.
