Sean Couturier is a well-known hockey player who was born in Phoenix, Arizona on December 7, 1992. Sean is also well known for being a left-shooting center who debuted in the NHL in 2011 for the Philadelphia Flyers after being selected by the club with the eighth overall pick in that year’s draft.

Injury impeded Couturier’s subsequent NHL seasons. He missed time due to a concussion, a lower body ailment, and then a shoulder injury in the 2015–16 season.

During a game against the Florida Panthers in November 2016, he damaged the medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his left knee, causing him to miss more than a month of the season. Couturier would continue to suffer from MCL issues after tearing the ligament in the Stanley Cup playoffs in 2018.
