Currently playing as a lock for Taranaki in the Mitre 10 Cup and the Crusaders in Super Rugby, Scott Kevin Barrett (born 20 November 1993) represents New Zealand in rugby union. Barrett will lead the Crusaders during the upcoming Super Rugby season in 2020.

Barrett joined the All Blacks, New Zealand’s national squad, for the first time in 2016 and has since participated in 36 international tests. Against Ireland, he made his debut.

Growing up in a rugby family where older brothers Beauden and Kane, as well as younger brother Jordie, went on to become professional rugby players, Scott Barrett started his playing career at Francis Douglas Memorial College in his hometown of New Plymouth. Brother Beauden is one of his current All Black teammates.
