Currently a lock for the Crusaders in Super Rugby and Taranaki in the Mitre 10 Cup, Scott Barrett (born 20 November 1993) is a New Zealand rugby union player. The 2020 Super Rugby season will see Barrett serve as the Crusaders’ captain.

Over 60 tests have been played for New Zealand by Barrett since his debut, against Ireland, in 2016. He was first chosen for the All Blacks, New Zealand’s national team.

When the 2013 IRB Junior World Championship took place in France, Barrett was a member of the New Zealand Under 20 side, and he made a total of three appearances. In half of the four tests that New Zealand played in to round off the year, Barrett started. He participated in all four of the team’s tests.

Scott obtained housing in MIQ so that he could visit his family. The Crusaders’ star revealed last year that he had proposed to longtime girlfriend Hannah McCulloch, who has a Bachelor of Commerce in agribusiness with a farm management concentration.
