In a detailed statement shared on his Instagram, Braun expressed that he now prioritizes being “a father first, a CEO second, and a manager no more.”

Starting his career as a manager in New York, Braun rose to prominence in 2008 when he discovered Justin Bieber, then just 12 years old, singing on YouTube.

He swiftly signed Bieber to a record label he co-founded with R&B star Usher, marking the beginning of a successful management career that included artists like Demi Lovato, David Guetta, Black Eyed Peas, Ava Max, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Quavo.

Reflecting on his decision to step away from music management, Braun cited a pivotal moment when “one of my biggest clients and friends” expressed a desire to explore new directions.

Although he did not disclose the client’s identity, Braun acknowledged that his dedication to the industry had evolved alongside personal sacrifices.

“As my children got older, and my personal life took some hits, I came to the realization that my kids were three superstars I wasn’t willing to lose,” Braun shared.

Despite dedicating countless hours to his career, he concluded it was time to transition into a new phase of life.

Braun’s tenure in the music industry was also marked by a well-known feud with Taylor Swift, stemming from his acquisition of her former record label, Big Machine, in 2019.

The $300 million deal granted Braun control over Swift’s first six albums, sparking a dispute that saw Swift re-recording her music to regain ownership and control over her catalog.

Looking ahead, Braun remains a prominent figure in entertainment, focusing on his role at HYBE America while reflecting on the profound impact of his management career in shaping the global music landscape.
